  • Environment HDR issue for RT-GPU

    Hi there.

I just purchased v-ray for modo, very excited to use it more! Loving it so far. Great work guys, the gpu rendering just blows me away!

Had an issue.. I build this scene in modo, and it renders identical in modo and v-ray rt-cpu.

However, if I render it in rt-Gpu, it looks like the hdri is rotating on an angle, and too bright. But...the actual light emitted, and reflections seem correct, so I think its just the background of the image that is the issue.

I have added the vray physical camera to my modo camera.

    I've attached some screenshots.

Ok, I think I found the cause of the issue, I just don't know why.

On the environment hdr image in the shader tree, I had a 'high value' set as 200%. If I set this to 100%, the environment image in the background doesn't render on an angle with RT-GPU.

But I do notice that RT GPU, doesn't dim the camera view of the background even if you adjust the power.
However, RT-CPU does adjust the env image brightness.
