  • VRay Standalone Stops Before Completion

Im doing pretty standard renders 8000 x 5000 px @ 300 dpi) on a 4GHz Mac running Sierra 10.12.6 with 32 Gb of RAM. Im launching VRay standalone from MODO 11.1v1 and using VRay 3.5.

A couple of times of different projects, the render stops prematurely with a the last few lines:

    [2017/Aug/22|20:36:28] Prepass 4 of 4...: 38.93% [ 0h 26m 33.5s] [ 0h 41m 40.1s est] [5374 MB resman] [0 MB texman]/var/folders/ml/f298_v491sn16z27_vs1wqn40000gn/T/car_14a_0009_20170822_193941_119_run.command: line 1: 618 Killed: 9 "/Applications/ChaosGroup/V-Ray/MODO_x64/vraysl/vray.bin" -sceneFile="/var/folders/ml/f298_v491sn16z27_vs1wqn40000gn/T/car_14a_0009_20170822_193941_119.vrscene" -numThreads=0 -region=none -rtEngine=0 -display=1 -autoClose=0 -setfocus=1 -verboseLevel=3 -showProgress=1 -progressUpdateFreq=200 -progressUseColor=1

    Saving session...
    ...copying shared history...
    ...saving history...truncating history files...
    ...completed.
    Deleting expired sessions...21 completed.

No other applications are running at the time, and I'm not using the computer.

This has just been a recent thing (last week) , but I've not installed ny new versions of any major software.

    Any help appreciated
    Thanks!

This is something that macOS's terminal prints. I don't know why it decides to logout in this case.

Thanks for clearing that up Vladimir. It's really weird, only happens a few times ever, despite leaving the machine on to render for long periods. I restarted the render, and came down this morning, and it was all fine

      I'll do some investigating.....

        Hey, Peepo

Thank you for the feedback. May I ask you what type of image sampler you've been used?
