  • Missing Render Elements

    Hi

I have a scene that I'm ready to render. I had not added any render elements, and there was nothing originally in the Shader Tree, but on opening the RE list, some settings were already highlighted. I clicked everything off, and then added them all again, including some new ones. A new Render Elements folder was then created in the Shader Tree, but it only contains the newly selected items. I can't seem to select the ones that were originally highlighted.

Is there anyway to reset all render elements? Only the newly selected passes appear in the RT dropdown too.

    Many thanks!

This happens when you merge or import scenes, I am not sure.
MODO basically forgets to parent some of the render outputs to the Render item.

You can "unhide" them by executing the following 2 commands:
    select.itemType renderOutput
    item.parent parent:Render

The first command will select all render outputs, the second one will parent them to the Render item in the Shader Tree.

      Hi Vladimir

Many thanks for the quick and helpful reply. I played about and found that if I clicked the 'delete' button against the item I wanted (still not appearing in the Shader Tree list), I could the select, and it would populate correctly.

Thanks fo the script - I'll be sure to use this if this happens again.
