  • Yeti and vray for nuke

Any one knows if this is possible?
We have a vray scene from maya with Yeti hair, it would be so cool if we could render it in the nuke version.

Contacted the peregrine support about this and they say if it can load the plugins in some way then you could probably use the Yeti plugin with nuke...

It should be possible through the V-Ray scene node; I'm not quite sure what are the directiories that V-Ray for Nuke uses to search for V-Ray plugins, but if worse comes to worse, copy the Yeti plugin for V-Ray to the folder where the rest of the V-Ray plugins are - I will check the exact path when I get to a computer tomorrow. Also make sure the PATH environment variable contains the path to the Yeti bin folder.

        Best regards,
        Vlado

          Hello,

You just need to add the path to Yeti bin folder to your VRAY_FOR_NUKE10_PLUGINS_x64 envirnoment variable.

Just make sure to add the path before the vray plugins path or it won't work.

It should look something like this:

          Path to Yeti/bin;C:\Program Files\Nuke10.0v3\plugins\vray
