  • Product rendering using Vray for Nuke?

I am considering trying to use Vray for Nuke for product renderings. Is this something more easily done in Maya or do you think I can have success in Nuke? The main reason is that I do a lot of similar products and just change the labels and colors. It would be nice to have more control over lights and colors without having to re-render out of Maya. I only have Nuke 10. Do I need to upgrade to 11 to make this work better for me? Thank you.

If you don't need to edit the geometry you can give Nuke a try.
The latest version supports 'Full Light Select' and 'Cryptomatte' render elements(as well as the usual V-Ray utility passes) that could be beneficial for tweaking renders in post right in Nuke.

For the moment there is full parity in the V-Ray for Nuke features across the supported Nuke versions(10,10.5,11).
You can opt in for the free 1 month trial license of V-Ray for Nuke in our website, or if it has expired without you having time to test it, you can contact our sales team for an extended evaluation.
