  • vraymat not loading in Vray for Revit

I'm exporting Vray materials in 3dsmax 2020 to separate vrmat files to be used in Vray for Revit. Problem is that Vray for Revit gives me an error when trying to import them telling me to look at the log file. Here is what the log file is showing. Even a very simple test vraymat file will not import. Any ideas? Thanks!

Which version of V-Ray are you using in 3Ds Max? Can you send us the .vrmat?

It's version 3.1, I installed it yesterday. Here is a simple test vrmat. I can send a complex one but it's bigger file than the forum allows. I really appreciate the responsive support from Chaos Group. Thanks you!

Ana Lyubenova is there any update on this?

My exact process is loading a max model with vray materials, using the Vray vrmat converter in 3dsmax. If I try to load one of the materials directly with the "Import Asset File" button in the Asset Browser it just does nothing. If I expand the Asset Browser and try the "Add a new file system location" button to bring in the all the vrmats within the folder, all the material previews are just black and when I try to drag that material over from the library to the materials I get the NeUI error as shown in the screenshot. I've attached the associated log. I've also attached the vrmat with associated image files in a zip file.

Here is the software versions I am using:
                Windows 10
                3ds Max 2021
                V-Ray Next for 3ds Max, update 3.2
                Revit 2020
V-Ray Next for Revit, hotfix 2

                  Hi lildaveycross ,

We have fixed it for our upcoming update. I'll double check the logs you attached and will update you next week.

                  Best,
                  Ana

                    Thanks Ana Lyubenova !

Is the fix on the revit side or 3dsmax? And do you have a projected release date for the fix?

The fix is on the Revit side, and yes, we have a planned date. We don't announce releases in advance though. All I can say is that it will be soon. And you'll get notified.
