  • Batch rendering Autosave

    Hi there
I have enabled Autosave in my frame buffer and it works great in the solo rendering
but when I use the Batch rendering it wont autosave the renderings in the frame buffer
so is there anyway to make that work?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi arch_mado ,

For Batch Rendering to work, you have already enabled the Auto-Save from within the V-Ray Settings/Paths & Sharing tab.
Change the output file type to .vrimg.
Set the VFB History folder to point at the same path you use for auto-save.
After the Batch Rendering is completed, you'll be able to see and navigate all your images from within the VFB History panel.

      Thanks, Ana Lyubenova
this solution helps but its not totally working
      I did as you said
but the image won't auto load or appear in this VFB history panel
the only solution is to load every image manually then click the "+" icon in the history panel to resave it in the history panel to make it appear there

also, it gets saved 2 times in the folder I choose
one from the autosave from the settings and one from the VfB autosave
I tried to uncheck the autosave from the VFB but still, it would save 2wice as shown in the attached photo
so now there is 2 problems
1- that the image won't appear in the VFB History panel till I load every image manually then resave or add it to the History panel
2- it saves 2wice in the history panel and after I load it manually and add it to the history panel now that makes it 3 saved images

but thanks for your help ,, at least the base problem is solved for me as I can get the .vrimg from batch rendering and to loaded it and work on it

Now, this sounds like a bug!

An additional question, is that the VFB where the batch of renders has been rendered?
Can you also try closing VFB once the batch is completed. Then launch VFB from the toolbar button.

          well
          not exactly
          when the batch rendering start
it starts in another framebuffer actually where it does shows the history of the batch rendering
but once the batch rendering finishes, this batch frame buffer auto close
as you can see in the attached photo for a test I made
          not the same VFB
even the Vray rendering progress is not the same

Yes, we know that. The "other frame buffer" is there on purpose, i.e. by design.
That's why you need to match your auto-save path with the Render History path of the built-in VFB.

Meanwhile, we'll look for some ways to improve that.

You are very welcome! We'll investigate why it doesn't refresh and I'll let you know.
