  • VRay for Revit Crashing when "Enabling Vray" is selected.

This is only happening when using Revit 2023. I open a project, go to the vray tab, select "enable vray". The program freezes for a second and then Revit crashes entirely. I do not get this result with Revit 2021 - it all works fine.
At first I thought it may have been with the version of Revit 2023 so I just updated to the latest update available to me (2023.1.6)

Has anyone else had this happen? How did you resolve it?

    Hello all,

I would like to inform you that with the release of V-Ray 7 for Revit, you should no longer encounter a Qt version conflict between Revit and V-Ray for Revit. You can download the build from the link below:

      Hello jethrotull,

If you use Revit version 2023.1.4 or later, there is an already known issue involving a Qt version conflict between Revit and V-Ray for Revit.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Additionally, please be aware that this problem will be resolved in the next major release of V-Ray for Revit.
Currently, the suggested workaround is to use your Revit 2021 or to upgrade to Revit 2024 or 2025, where this issue is not present, or wait for the next release of V-Ray for Revit.
