  • Render History Problem

    Vray for Revit 2018;
    I recently toggled the Render History dialog box to appear. Now, every time I try to 'Acquire License' when I start Revit, I get the spinning wheel of death for very long time and 'Revit not responding' message. The Render History Settings box half appears and get's hung up.
    Anyone have a remedy for this?
    I tried uninstalling Vray for Revit and then Reinstalling it, thinking it would put my settings back to default, but that did not work.
    My Vray is useless at the moment.
    I use a dongle key, and it works fine with my mobile workstation, so this problem is just on the desktop workstation.
    For the pic below, I get hung up right after clicking on Acquire License, then the render history box appears and nothing happens for a long time, then I end Revit and try again, and again.....ugggg.
    Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

    Remedy:
    1. Close Revit
    2. Go to the following folder on your computer: C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Roaming\Chaos Group\V-Ray for Revit 2018
    3. Open the file named VRay4Revit.ini (to open it, use Notepad)
    4. At the bottom of the page you will see "[Vfb]State=....."
    5. Delete the entire row. Save the file and run Revit.
