  • Maximum Output Image Size?

Does Vray for Revit have a maximum limit to the render image output size?
Revit closes abruptly when the scene is being prepared by Vray and about 50% into the 'preparing light cache' phase of the render, then Revit closes. This is when I set the resolution to a larger size. If I render same scene but at a lower size it works fine, but the resolution is too low for the size printout that I need to provide to someone.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

PS: I wish there was a standard setting recommendation checklist for this. It is painful experimenting so much when the client is needing something quickly. Not sure why Chaos makes everyone experiment on their own. This should be pretty simple and would result in much more users in the end.

Dave, can you please let us know how the image will be viewed? For example, will you print it somewhere or you're going to view it on a monitor?
I believe you are running out of memory when you set the resolution to 19 000. And this, in my opinion, is unnecessary huge resolution. That's why I'm trying to understand what the purpose of your image would be, so that I can advise you.

The image may be viewed in many ways, from a small monitor to being printed 30ft long x 10ft high and placed on the side of a building.
Our graphic department asked me to make a certain image at a higher resolution, which is where im discovering the difficulty in making higher resolution images. My thoughts were to simply make a larger size image, but perhaps i should be making higher resolution images another way?? This is where i struggle, is with the output of Vray for Revit; how to show a client a nicer output image for their use.
