  • Batch Render?

I feel like I have to be overlooking something - what is the workflow for batch rendering? For example, if we have 9 3D views in a project to render and want to update the whole set, is there a way to do this without manually initiating each render?

Currently, the best I've been able to come up with is to output .VRScene files per-view and then manually submit each one to Deadline as a V-Ray Standalone job. This still requires 30-45 minutes of active human effort, however, and is prone to errors.

    Hello jskt ,

We still haven't implemented batch rendering in V-Ray for Revit. It is in our current roadmap.
I'd be interested to hear how do you imagine the workflow.

I am imagining something like Enscape's view manager, where you can favorite views, and pressing "batch render" uses the favorites:

Size:	60.7 KB

In V-Ray for Revit, you could do the same in the view manager, but you would also want one or more columns to specify whether to use the current quality/resolution/render element settings, or override using the ones saved in the view (exposure and sun settings would always use the settings saved per-view):

When batch render is implemented, can each render in the batch save all other necessary individual settings per view (HDRI values, Exposure Values, etc)?

I can think of a workflow throughout the week and put together a mockup in my downtime.

That would be really great! The more user input we get on this, the better.

FYI individual render settings plus local batch rendering have been implemented in V-Ray Next for Revit, Update 1.
We launched the update yesterday and you can download it from our website. Enjoy!
