  • Rendering slat wood rendering

    Hi dear all

I am currently doing a rendering which i always have same issue with - wooden slat on distance. Is there a setting or material that i have missed out here or is it just not possible to render it with matereial only, or will i have to create each wooden slat separately ?

Uploaded my render and how i would love it to look.

You don't need to create each slat separately. You can use displacement instead. But beware not to overdo it. If the slats are close to the camera (i.e. the detail is well visible), use displacement. For remote ones, bump in the material would be enough.

Have you considered modelling your slats with a curtain wall? eg. vertical mullions to represent the slats and empty panels between.
