  • Blurry/pixelated Render

Any suggestions on how to clean up the Renders when using a Dome light? Most all of the surfaces render really pixelated/grainy. I have the DPI set to max as well as the quality and nothing helps.

    Hi Kraig,

Can you post some images for reference?
Noise might be caused due to lack of light in your scene. Have you tried playing with the EV and Dome light intensity settings?
Using the denoiser channel (Settings->Channels->Denoiser channel) could help you in case your scene is lit correctly.

I've attached an image for reference. I'm not sure how I can adjust the dome light anymore without skewing the look i'm going for. It's the one issue I have with the Dome light is the lack of lighting as it were. Maybe I'm just setting it up improperly. Hopefully this image shows properly, I had to reduce their size.

        Kraig,

definitely give the denoiser a shot. It should clear up the noise you're seeing. Also, is this the raw render, or did you need to adjust the exposure or brightness either in the frame buffer or photoshop? I ask because if the exposure for the camera in the camera settings is too low initially, it can cause some extra noise and splotchiness.

          This is the raw render.

Try the denoiser and see if that corrects your problem.
