  • Vray Swarm Render

I purchased a copy of Vray tat also came with 1 floating Node. If trying to use another machine in the office to render with does that node work for that machine or do I have to purchase a pack to use it?

Looking at the Vray Swarm Network it says that there are two nodes.

The "Workstation" license package contains 1 GUI license (gets engaged when you use V-Ray interface inside a 3D application) and 1 Universal Render node license (gets engaged while you render). The licensing is per machine, meaning that you need 1 license for each computer.
If you want to include a second computer to distribute rendering to (using SWARM) you'd need an additional Universal Render node license for it.
Another option in Revit would be to exclude the local computer (your workstation) from rendering and send the render job only to the second machine (engaging only 1 license for rendering). To do that - check the "Don't use local machine" box in "V-Ray rendering progress" window.
