  • Vray materials mapped but not rendering. New to Vray in Revit, any help appriciated

In the attached image the only materials that seem to be working are the landscape.

I mapped the Stucco materials to VRay materials and nothing is happening. The sliding panel to the left of the lady is mapped to Metal Painted Stripes... nada???

    What am I missing here??

    Thanks!
    Ray

I can override all materials and get the green stucco. It just seems to be an issue with me understanding the mapping between the revit material and the vray??

I'm going to have to Boot Vray and find another way. Deadline is too soon to fight this issue.

Phase Filter Materials... I deleted them and all good. The only way I discovered the problem was to go to Lumion where is was completly obvious what to do... hmmm

          Hi Ray,

My initial suggestion would have been the phasing. Good that you managed to solve the issue by yourself.
Can you please provide us with more details about what exactly in V-Ray's workflow is not obvious so that we can improve it for further releases?

          Thank you,
          Ana

I went to MANAGE / MATERIAL and deleted the phasing materials. What clued me in with Lumion is that that cued me when I went to reassign materials by showing me a group to apply materials to and it was based on phasing. Once I deleted the phasing materials I was able to assign materials individually. I am sure there is a better way to handle this but it worked.
