  • License Checkout when Command invoked and not on Revit launch

I think the Rhino model should be adopted for both Revit and SketchUp.

It slows down the Revit Startup looking for a license. if someone is using it then Revit Hangs with a VRAY NAG , VERY VERY unproductive.

Get license when you INVOKE vray. not at Revit Startup. Really we cannot install this plugin on machines for everyone to use.

    PLEASE FIX this issue!

I completely agree with this! This is absolutely needed. There was a plugin available for SketchUp that worked with V-Ray 2.0 called V-Ray Tools for SketchUp that did this exact thing. Revit projects get much much larger than SketchUp models generally, and it's insane to have to close and re-open that gigantic file to free up a V-Ray license you got accidentally just by opening Revit normally.

Guys, the problem you described occurs only on first time load. Then you can disable the V-Ray toolbar, i.e. release the license. It will remain disabled on Revit re-open, until you decide to pull it back again.
I don't know which version you are currently using but this was implemented in our update 340.02.
