    Hi,

    I found that my project material are destroyed by a strange issue. Reflective coat layers got a full BRDF material now. So, everywhere I used a reflective coat I get a diffuse layer now. Also fresh added reflective coats show this effect. Please try to fix it soon as possible and release a nightly.

    Hello, Micha,
    Could you please confirm whether the affected materials were previously consisting of nothing but a single Reflective layer?
    The current faulty behavior (introduced with v4.20.01, March 17th) is that after clearing the base layer of a material and adding a Diffuse or Reflective coat, the full set of BRDFVRayMtl parameters are filled in the coat's UI.

    A ticket about this issue is now logged.

    As a workaround, I can currently advise manual reconstruction of each affected material.
    Furthermore, for correct results of glass-like materials, please consider using VRay Mtl with refraction of ~1 and suitable IOR instead of relying on a singular reflection coat (i.e. transparent diffuse layer).

      Hi Peter,

      right, the material contain previously only a reflective layer. It was a fake glass without refraction. An other version of this material but with an additional emissive layer show the right reflection layer. So, it's like you described. Could be nice to get the old reflection layer kept always.

      For now I get the scene working per workarounds. Thank you for the hints.

      A little other issue - the bump material doesn't show it's own typical icon anymore, it looks like standard material at the material list.

        The Bump material icon is changed due to the way it is currently structured. I'm afraid it will remain as it is for the time being. Nevertheless, logged that as well for further review by the dev team.
