I'm really for bothering everybody here but this is really super important for my workflow:
Please, please bring up the popup when importing already existing proxy materials by dragging a new proxy using the same materials into the scene. When using a standard geometry I have 3 options: use existing material, replace existing material and rename material. This is super practical! If I am inserting 10 proxy variations of the same tree using the same materials, I will receive 10 copies of this one material! They are created by vray and automatically numbered: ie Bark #1, Bark #2, Bark #3 and so. But they are all the same material. For complex scenes this makes a quick reediting of ie the bark color nearly impossible. So please, please bring back this simple popup.
Or like Micha has suggested: Allow to merge copies of the same material to one. This would be an acceptable workaround.
Thanks
Toni
