  • PNG Save sometimes outputs corrupted file

What the title says. Have had this issue in a variety of situations with different files. The PNG created cannot be opened in photoshop and when opened on Windows Photo Viewer it show an partial image, missing a section of the bottom.

    Hi monksalve

Could you please provide some additional information?
    1. What is the full version number of V-Ray you are using?
    2. Is the issue consistently reproducible with a specific project?
    3. Is the render output saved as PNG through the VFB or Save Image parameter in the V-Ray Asset Editor?
    4. What are the full specifications of the machine?

      Hey Georgi,

I haven't been able to readily reproduce the issue but I'll probably run into it again. Once I do I'll provide more details. In the meantime:

      1. What is the full version number of V-Ray you are using?
      V-Ray for Rhinoceros 7 5.00.02

      2. Is the issue consistently reproducible with a specific project?
Has happened in different projects but have not been able to reproduce it in a fresh file

      3. Is the render output saved as PNG through the VFB or Save Image parameter in the V-Ray Asset Editor?
      Saved through VFB

      4. What are the full specifications of the machine?
      Intel i7-7820 @3.6GHz, 32GB Ram, Quadro P4000, Windows 10

Ok, it's happening again and I think it might have something to do with overwriting files.

          Hi monksalve

          Thank you for the feedback!

I have been unable to reproduce the issue and at this point it is hard to know where the issue is coming from.

If you are able to consistently reproduce it, could you please share a step-by-step description and/or short video demonstrating it?
Additionally, if it occurs with specific file, would it be alright if you share it with us? If so, please send an archived copy (V-Ray > Pack Project) to support@chaosgroup.com via email or a file-sharing service of your choice
