Vray 5 Upgrade - Materails all Black + texture maps gone

Hi,

I just downloaded the trial version to test out for our office and some of the files I open the materials load, but the diffuse color is black and all the texture maps are missing. Is there a way to solve this or is there a workaround? I thought maybe I could reinstall 3.6 and export a .vrscene - but no way am I going to do that with every old file - same with remapping textures. Any help would be appreciated.

We can maybe try to open them in Next and see if it is reading the files correctly; can you let me know if this is happening with a particular project, or is it present everywhere?

Worth to note that materials done with V-Ray version older than 2.0 will not be read and a two-step migration should be performed, as described here: https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...eviousVersions

There should be no issues in regards to moving from V-Ray version 3.6 to 5, would it be possible to share sample project files from 3.6 so we can test and see what's going on? You can forward them through our contact form, just make sure to mention this thread in the email. Thanks!
