  • Vray material Color in rhino

    Hi,
I've got an issue with IFC export because of the color management of IFC.
All objects seems to take the material color instead of layer color.

The problem is that Rhino doesn't read the right color of Vray material which are black most of the time.
    Maybe there is 2 solutions:
    - VRAY appli a approched color from Diffuse Map to the rhino interface
    - A new parameter is aded to the VRAY asset editor, like "Material display color in rhino"...

    Thank's

    Hello,

    - A new parameter is aded to the VRAY asset editor, like "Material display color in rhino"...
This can be done using Binding. Click image for larger version

ID:	1120881 There you can select a custom texture to be previewed in the Rhino viewport.

Regarding the export issues you have I am not sure how V-Ray material data can be contained within an IFCfile.
However I can test that but I will need more information regarding your IFCworkflow. Are you exporting from Rhino? Where are you importing the files after that? Are you using another plugin to create the BIM geometry? Simple example file to illustrate and for me to test will be helpful.

Ok thank you, i'll test that.
I'm using VisualARQ to create BIM model and export IFC.
If it doesn't work I will send you a model....
