  • Vray Materials displaying Bump map in Render View

    Hi,

I'm using a Vray leather material in Rhino Rendered View, and it displays with the bump map, rather than the diffuse color.

It's a brown leather, but only showing the B&W bump.

Ideally, it could display diffuse with the bump, but I need to be able to preview the color, rather than the bump map.

Any suggestions? I've tried changing in Rhino the Display Options, Rendered View settings for lighting, Advanced GPU, etc. Nothing so far....

    Thanks

    Hey pg_13,

This is expected, since the bump map is also slotted in the 'Binding' parameter for preview purposes. If you only wish to preview the diffuse color, you can remove that bitmap from the Binding option. Alternatively, you could create a custom map and load it instead.

You can also select V-Ray Interactive in Rhino viewport - that way you'll be able to see both the diffuse color + bump mapping.

Thank nikoleta.garkova! The binding parameter is exactly what I was looking for.
