  • Rhino stops working

    Hi all,
My computer is brand new, the parameters exceed the software requirements. The software is freshly installed. I want to render an object of medium size (around 270MB) with Vray3 (Rhino6). I have since deleted all materials. There are no objects like light, fur, etc. I'm in draft mode, 1600x1600 pixels. With the function "Material override" I can render, as soon as I turn this off and try to render, the system crashes. I've rendered much bigger things. The same file / object works for my colleagues (same software), but with me it was the same problem with the old computer. ... What could be the reason?
Thank you very much for answers.

    Hi jaewook_kwon,

Can you share the specifications of your system? Are you rendering with CPU or GPU?

A good starting point is to check our troubleshooting docs on memory usage optimizations, just to rule out this is something related to memory consumption:
    https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...+GPU+rendering
    https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...+CPU+rendering

Other than that, have you monitored your CPU/GPU activity while rendering to see what's happening? Is it possible to forward us the project in question so we can have a look and see if there are any issues - you can send it via our contact form, just make sure to mention this thread (or my name) in the form subject. Much appreciated!
