  • Toon turns black behind translucent material

When rendering an object that has a toon material on it, it looks fine under normal circumstances but the object becomes completely black when seen through a translucent object. Any workaround for this? I attached a png in which the windows on the building have toon applied to them, and the ones on the right behind the translucent box are black. Any help is much appreciated! Hi parker_greene ,

I tried reproducing the described issue but couldn't do it.
The Toon lines render fine behind both refractive and transparent materials.

Can you share the scene you've used for testing this?
It'll help us a great deal with finding the cause for the issue.

    Thank you in advance,
    Konstantin

          Dear parker_greene, hello.

You could try uploading it as .zip here, but the best way is via our contact form.
We use now SendSafely to receive files from customers easily.

When it is a scene related issue (as now), please choose 3D and rendering help under Request type and mention this thread in the description.
In addition, please use V-Ray > Pack Scene - a standard approach to collect all the included assets.

Don't worry, the discussion here will continue thereafter.

          Best regards,
          TS
