CPU Rendering is Significantly Faster than CUDA or RTX?

Trying to figure out the correct settings to optimize my hardware. Current configuration is as follows:
Windows 10
CPU: i7-8700K @ 3.7ghz (overclocked to 4.7) 6 core
GPU: RTX 2070
Ram: 32gb
Vray 5
Rhino 7

For some reason my rendering times get slower with CUDA and barely faster with RTX. This is a pretty simple scene that shouldnt take this long IMO
Attached are some screenshots and the render output from CPU vs RTX.
CPU time: 25m 15s
RTX time: 19m 31s
CUDA: slower than RTX, didn't have time to finish

Also attached are the current settings.
It seems that even on RTX the graphics card is hardly working at the CPU is still straining.

Any help is greatly appreciated. These rendering times should be alot quicker I feel like.

Run the V-Ray Benchmark the machine(you can download it from here: https://download.chaos.com/?platform=47&product=57) see if the results are reasonable compared to other users results with the same hardware (results are here: https://benchmark.chaos.com/v5/vray?...ng=desc&by=max). If everything looks Ok with the benchmark, this means that probably this is related to this scene only. Try with another project and then with just a simple scene.
If indeed this behavior is exhibited in this project only, please send it for investigation. You can do that by submitting a request below with the scene attached. Just please make sure you are sending a Packed Project(zip archive) so we can all files associated with the project.

I did run the benchmark and it seems like the scores are in line with similar configurations. I'll try and test another scene.

Hi again,

A suggestion from a colleague - try decreasing the Max subdivs to something like 48 or 50. This should significantly improve the render times.

Let me know if this improves the render times on your side.
