Every time when contour and clipping plane is both enabled, this happened: the object contours behind the clipper is rendered, while the object itself is not. The clipper failed to cut the contour for the object as well. Is this a missing of feature or it's a bug? It seems to happen for a long time, since the release of vray 4.0

Unfortunately this is a bug, yes. It is listed with VRW-2977 number in our system. I will add now this thread to the list and we will discuss with our dev team what could be done in this matter.
It may be not the best workflow, but for now to receive the wanted result you could save a copy of the file and use Rhino Trim command.
Or work within the very same file, but perform more Undo/Redo options to go back to the original model and make more changes if needed.
However, we will try to prioritize this task.
Thanks for sharing that it is useful for your workflow and you were waiting for a fix from V-Ray Next on.
