  • Grasshopper area light dimensions represent the radius not the width/height as UV inputs should imply...

I've noticed that the area light UV dimensions are creating a light twice as big as I would expect - I've plugged a slider set to 50 into both U & V inputs but the resulting light is 100mm square.

The tooltip says nothing about a radius... and that would only really make sense if I was using a circular light and only then if the input was a radius not UV...

    Hello paul-twoatsix ,

You are right, the values set for the U and V size of the Rectangle light in Grasshopper are equal the half of the Rectangle's width and length, unlike the Rectangle light in V-Ray.

Thank you for your feedback. We'll take it into consideration.

    Kind regards,
    Iva
