  • Opacity map not lining up with texture

    I'm trying to render a material with a texture that has a partially transparent background. I've tried both checking the box "Diffuse Texture Alpha" and just creating an opacity map, but in both cases, the opacity map does not line up with the texture. It's not an issue with the texture. I've made textures like this a million times. Even in the material preview in the asset editor the maps don't line up. Any idea what's going on?

    Okay, I just created a new material and applied the same map/settings and it works. The original material must have gotten corrupted somehow.

      Hi,

      I'm happy to hear that you were able to achieve the results that you're after.
      If anything like that happens again and you suspect something in V-Ray got corrupted, please send it over for investigation on our side.
