  • Interactive setting missing

    Hi all,

I am very new to V-ray and have been watching an onboarding tutorial by Chaos.

I want to be able to see the changes I am making in V-ray vision as I go along. In the tutorial they go into the settings of the V-ray asset editor and select interactive, and change it to rapid.

    Why is this setting missing?

    Hello, carl_harris,

The toggle for switching to Interactive is removed with V-Ray 6. Now you can simply start V-Ray Interactive Rendering from the Interactive Rendering button in Asset Editor (the one you are showing in the screenshot), in the V-Ray toolbar, Menu or Rhino command. You can check out the Docs pages for Interactive rendering - https://docs.chaos.com/display/VRHIN...tive+Rendering and for V-Ray Vision - https://docs.chaos.com/display/VRHINO/V-Ray+Vision.

If you need any help with V-Ray feel free to write here or leave me a private message.

    Kind regards,
    Iva

Thank you for Clarifying! I got confused because the latest V-Ray tutorials linked on the Mcneil website are clearly for V-Ray 5
