  • Bug: include selection for clipping planes doesn't work for blocks (Rhino 8 latest VfR)

    Hi,

I have a train model which I need to hide for a rendering, but I want to get the shadows. I create an include setup and pick the whole train, but only the non block objects are clipped, the blocks are ignored. I hope a solution is possible for the near future.

    Hello Micha,
Thank you very much for your report.

I was able to reproduce the issue with Rhino 7 as well and it is logged in our internal system as VRW-4024. Both Include and Exclude options ignore Blocks as a selection for these actions.

Perhaps as a workaround, on the contrary, you could Exclude objects you want to keep unclipped (if they are not created as Blocks as well).

      Hello Micha,

I would like to let you know that the issue (Clipper Exclusion options not working with Block instances) is now fixed and the fix will be included in the next update.

      Kind regards,
      Iva
