  • Rhino Safe frame Broken

    Hey Guys!
A quickie just to update you about an issue with rhino 7 AND 8:
the viewport safe frame is broken, it's not matching the aspect ratio in the render Output rollout of the Asset editor, can you patch it please?
I noticed it in v6.2.0 but I just installed V6.2.1 and it's still broken....

    Thanks!!

    Hi,

actually this is on purpose as McNeel devs requested V-Ray does not change the resolution. There is a discussion on that in the Rhino forum here:

    https://discourse.mcneel.com/t/vray-...pdating/171609

    and here:
    https://discourse.mcneel.com/t/vray-...current/169678

since a lot of people are complaining, we're probably going to discard McNeel team's request, and revert the change

      Hi nikolay.bakalov.

I agree that It makes no sense as it is now.. please can you add an option in the settings asking if you want to affect rhino Camera and safeframe?

We need a way to compose our images...
Although rhino camera is shit and I would like to see some proper camera object like 3dsmax vraycamera, at least we need it to match with vray camera settings.

yes please revert to prior safe frame.
        Vray 6.2 (latest)

        Thank you,

I was wondering what was going on, I remember it updating correctly at one time, but the past few versions haven't and noticed it again today, guess I will look at that thread to see why anyone would want it not matching, can't imagine why.
