Vray for Rhino Plug in not working

I've had vray installed and use it semi regularly. I just notice today that my vray plug in was not there when I went to try to render something. I've reinstalled vray, and still had the issue. I went to the forums and I have been able to manually install vray from the plugin manager, but when I open a document I have to do this every time and I have lost all the materials and lighting I have previously set. In my command prompt upon opening a file it shows this before successfully reading my file:

Blocking plug-in V-Ray for Rhino.
Unable to load default render plug-in.
Loading Legacy Rhino Render, version 1.50, Dec 12 2023, 17:21:04

Any ideas on what's wrong/how I can fix this?
