GPU multiplier still doubled by switching GPU mode ...
I assume you mean the issue we had in V-Ray 7.00.00 where the Max Subdivs value is doubled right after manually setting it when GPU is selected. Max Subdivs value was also doubled when switching from CPU to GPU and then not halved when switching back to CPU.
The issues are addressed with 7.00.01. Now switching to GPU doubles the Max Subdivs value and switching back to CPU halves it, which is the expected behaviour.
Please let me know if this is the issue you are referring to.
Kind regards,

sorry for the late reply. But now the V-Ray 7 license is running again and I was able to test it again - the bug is still there. If I open an old project and switch the GPU mode from Cuda to RTX, then max subdivs is doubled. The same happens when I switch from RTX to Cuda, doubled again. Example scene attached.
Thank you for reporting this issue. I see that unfortunately, this particular scenario hasn't been addressed. Note that the issue is reproducible when the Render Quality is Custom, when the Quality is set to a Preset, e.g. Medium, High, etc. there are no issues. It is also reproducible with new scenes.
We will let you know as soon as there is progress on resolving the issue.
Kind regards,
Iva
