Issue: Lights are no V-Ray lights, only Rhino lights

I am not happy with the fact that the standard light button no longer generates V-Ray lights as in the past. I don't understand why this was changed. Today I tried the button from the V-ray toolbar instead of the button from the Rhino toolbar, expecting that it was a mistake of mine not to have used this button, but there was the same problem.

Is there something wrong with my toolbar, is it an old version? Shouldn't the V-Ray toolbar have _vrayLight ... instead of the Rhino _RectangularLight?
(I am using Rhino WIP with VfR 7.)

Hello Micha,

Keep in mind that our installer does not support Rhino WIP yet. We will add the option to install V-Ray on Rhino WIP with the next hotfix. It is not recommended to use a V-Ray for Rhino on another Rhino version - in your case V-Ray for Rhino 7 on Rhino WIP, as the code is often different and some things might not work.

Do you reproduce the issue with other Rhino versions?

iva_mancheva I checked it in Rhino 8 and it's the same problem. But maybe my VfR toolbar is still an old one and was not updated during the last installation. Could you please also check whether you are using the Rhino command or the VfR command.

I would like it if a light created with the Rhino command could be connected to V-Ray as it used to be. That worked without any problems and now there are always problems.

I still have a Rhino 7 running with VfR 5 and everything is fine there.
