  • V-Ray won?t render

    Hi,

I am a new tester. I downloaded pre-release build 5 but I wasn?t able to run it on 2 of 3 computers. It installed fine, I am able to access settings and material editor but when I try to render, I get those error messages:

    and when I click OK:

I am not even asked to provide license number or try the product.

    Here are computer specs:

First computer (V-Ray fails to render)

Crubadue, I am the only user of V-Ray. I just had to find computer that will work with V-Ray so I tried all computers that I have.

Are all your machines connected to the internet?

Also, are you installing with Admin rights?

          V-Ray won?t render

Wow, I think that you hit the nail here. Initially I installed V-Ray as an user. So I uninstalled it and installed again with Administrator rights. Now it works.

So it seems that the installer should warn user if he doesn?t have sufficient rights to avoid incomplete installation.
