Tried new version. Opened fresh file WITHOUT saved rendermesh. Plain wire. Pressed render - Rhino said it build mesh, but I tired of waiting (I know it's not a VRay issue, just huge default tess. settings) and pressed ESC to stop meshing. And after that VRay started to render (of course it's all black, because there's no mesh to render). So what's the problem ?

after debugging that scene it appears that one of the render meshes that Rhino is sending to us has 2 verts, no faces, and no vert normals. It was crashing because I assumed that there would be one vert normal for each vert, but since there is not enough vertexes to create normals (you need at least 3 for a face) I was reading into bad memory. I added some extra checks to the render mesh adding function and now it works fine. It will be in the next release. If you want to render with VRay for Rhino as it is now, you need to find the 2 verts that are floating around.
Also, with the rendering black issue, we're going to redo a couple things so that in cases like that VRay for Rhino handles it better.
ThanksBest regards,

I'm glad, the scene was usefull
I'd already rendered the scene. Just used curves with far more CP (to split it correctly) and then "rebuild surface".
Must say Rh4 splits surfaces in a far more intelligent way. This scene was translated to Rh3 from Rh4....I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?
