Hi,

I'm new here and see no bug section and no bug reports. Is it ok if I post it here?

Rhino:

- I have saved a rendering as *.hdr, but it is only a LDR image
- per default I see stromg light in the scene (looks like a sun light), but I dosn't find a control

In the Color mapping section of the V-Ray options, there is a check-box "Clamp output" which is On by default. To get a HDR image, you need to turn this off. Note that un-clamped HDR output may produce jagged edges in certain cases (e.g. very bright thin hilights).

@Vlado: thanks, works great. Where can I control the "sun" (default light?)? Can I find a short discription of all parameters? Will Vray provide SSS?

The default light in Rhino is just a direct light that comes from the view direction. If you want to control where the light is coming from I would suggest just making a light and positioning it where you want it. Once there is another light in the scene the default light will not show up anymore.

VRay supports SSS but it is not available to us quite yet. It should be soon.

contact info@asgvis.com with your forum viewing problems. If you had an account on this forum before becoming a registered beta user maybe you need to make another account. I'm not sure.

... I have sen now, the default light is an option and can be disabled.
