    I like all the fixes in beta 9, especially resizable windows. The render starts very fast now, thanks for that!

    But there is a major refraction bug, which was also present in previous beta:

    Also, before ending the beta, I think it would be good if the whole interface is cleared up. By that I mean that in a lot of places, depending on choices you make, some settings need to be grayed out to avoid confusion. This is the case in almost every rollout, light and material setting.

    Rect light portal option doesn't work.

    save to hdr

    Saving out to hdr from the frame buffer doesn't really save a high bit depth image. It just saves out a LDR image and puts the hdr extension behind it.

      ... the increment for the light intensity is to small (0.1) and could be 1.

        Yes the cleaning up began on this round, it is in its infant stages. The greying out / responses to user input are my number one priority for this time around as well. I realize how difficult it is to not see proper reactions in the UI (playing with settings that don't apply to anything, etc )


        I'll see if I can track down that refraction issue too.
