  • Bad alpha chanal transparency antialiasing (vray 1.49.15)

If I open an image with transparency and place a black background, than I see white seams around the transparency edges.
I ask me now, is it not possible to get a transparency without color? I have done a test and have deleted a soft selection in my image. The soft transparency hole dosn't show a seam. So I think, it should be possible in Vray too.

This is not really a bug; you just need to tell your compositing program that the rendered image is with premultiplied alpha. I think there was a topic about this on the V-Ray forum, I'll try to find it.

Vlado, thank you very much for your help.

Here the answer from the link:
If you render to PNG premultiplied with a black BG you can remove the black color in photoshop by using the layer > matting > remove black matte command.
