  • RCM Crash Dump

I'm getting lots of RCM crashes. Can't pin it down. I do a bunch of layer turning on/off, hiding, etc., and go to render and it crashes. I've learned to save a lot!

Are these RCM crash dump files of use to anyone?

The crash dumps don't do much for us really. Basically whenever there is a crash it just puts a lot of the information into that file. Are you able to repeat the same operations to come to a crash each time? If so please send the file and how to reproduce the problem.

If you don't have the exact procedure, I will play around with the layers to see if I can get the same crash

I'm not sure of the procedure and the file is currently 30mb. I'll keep you posted.

BTW, I notice in the text status window something about bitmaps being loaded. If I send you a file, do I have to find those bitmaps and send them? How does Vray know where to look for them?

My file is crashing every time I render. I open the file, render once, then re-render and crash.
I made a test file by copying this one, then stripped it down to one layer and it doesn't crash anymore. Is it a size issue? Or maybe a bad material?
If I get a chance to pinpoint I will.
