  • Texture mapping crashing Rhino

Here is what I experienced. I'm sorry but my demo period is over so I couldn't reproduce this once again, but experienced it couple of times. I do not now if this is bug but ...
When delete channel on object (in my case 1) and add new one with same name (1), after hit render it crash rhino, without crash report, or recover.
I think that I was clear enough.

      Re: Texture mapping crashing Rhino

I was doing some research on my friends computer, it is happening if I'm using 'show mapping' option and USING cylindrical, spherical or capped cylindrical mapping.
So to conclude if it is shown (box or whatever else) and I delete it and then add cylindrical, spherical or capped cylindrical mapping NOT box mapping (work fine with it) it killes rhino.

Aha! This is what was happening to me too. I thought it was due to the size of my renderings, but I think it was because I messed with the materials!

Joe, if you not find the bug, I could send you more. I have a file that works fine, but if I rotate the planar mappping by type in an other value, than Vray crash.

                Re: Texture mapping crashing Rhino

And I found out that when rotating UV map, by typing values in U or V, there is no change in render, always render the same position. As I sad earlier I can't reproduce this because beta expired, so if someone could check this out to verify it?

Check and see if you have the default layer locked. All of the mapping widgets actually get created on the default layer, so if you have that locked or hidden it might case some issues.
