I tried to get a vray2sidedmaterial to be clear (see-thru) on one side and a regular diffuse on the other, but it didn't seem to work.
So I tried vrayskp2sidedmtl, and it worked. But when I assign the material to a layer, it says failed to setvraybasicmaterial (or something like that). It still worked fine, though.

And, if the materials that are used in this material are not used anywhere else, it is possible to purge them. Bug?

Yea, thats not what the vray2sided material is for (its for faking translucency affects). The sketchup one is whats going to give you that functionality. The error is interesting, because you can still use the sketchup2sided without a material, so if the material that failed to be set was the one that was supposed to be transparent. Then its possible that there is still the error, but that the result is the same (follow me on that one?). The purge thing we are aware of, and I think Joe has fixed already.

I got that error before purging, though. I had valid materials set to front and back. Then assign the 2-sided material to a layer, click ok, error message. But it still works.

We always set the basic Rhino material information so Rendered viewports show up. I guess I neglected to do that properly for the 2sided mats and its yelling at you about it. It shouldn't negatively effect anything ( aside from the irritating message box ).

Yes - Micha brought this up to me previously. Its on our list. Thanks
