  • Bump Map - rendered viewport

I think I've mentioned this before, but I've tracked a little bit more.

    1. Create a material with a bump map.
    2. Assign material to a layer.
    3. Assign material properties of objects on that layer to "by layer."
    4. If you look at the material assigned to an object, you will see in the window that all the basic material parameters are grayed out, but texture is checked. When you use rendered viewport it shows you the bump map texture, and not the diffuse texture. If you change from "by layer" to basic, you can see that the texture it is using is your bump map texture. It really should be your diffuse, no?

Yes there must be a mixup where we set the basic material properties. Thanks
