Dear All:
This will be my first posting to this forum (hello everyone!)
The problem is this:
I have Matrix 6 installed on several machines. With it comes a diminished version of V-Ray (calling itself V-Ray for Matrix). This version is lacking some of the functionality of the full version of V-Ray. In particular: it lacks caustics options, and it doesn't seem t be able to read any .vismat or .visopt files generated by the latest release of V-Ray.
The problem is, when I try to install a proper version of V-Ray onto a machine which contains Matrix, it won't let me. Basically, it's claiming there's already a version of V-Ray there.
Even worse, with some earlier installs of Matrix 6 (some of the betas), if I installed V-Ray afterwards, the Matrix software tried to reinstall over the latest copy of V-Ray!
Why can't we all just get along? How do I make these two pieces of software live in harmony?
