possible disabling maps bug

is it just me or when you disable a map from the Maps roll out (background for example) by simply unchecking the check box then closing the material editor it doesnt actually disable the map. It still renders in the image.

When you open the material back up. you find that background is re-checked so you have to goto into the map options. set the type from BMP to None save, uncheck, apply then render.

I hope that by fixing it you guys don't clear the attached map.

There are lots of times when I just want to toggle it off do a render, look at it, at which time I might say "nope turn that back on" and go toggle it back on without reloading the map type and file.
