  • Rhino Shut Down when i put some sceanes to rendering!

    Hello,

i bought i new machine (Core 2 Quad, 2.66Mhz) and i was trying to rendering some images. I thought it would render faster and without problem than my old machine.
But i dont know why when i "upload" some heavy archives and with a lot of geometrys and textures Rhino simply shut down when i start the render. Somebody have any ideia what is happening?

    Thanks all,

If you do a quick forum search on the topic, you'll see lots of posts about running out of memory. That's the problem 99% of the time. It doesn't matter if you have a 64-bit OS, vista, xp, windows 7, brand new computer, 10 year old computer, etc. You can't use more than 2-3gb of ram (depending on the /3gb switch). Micha has more specifics on it, and has tried his best to overcome this obsticle, but there's still a limitation. Search the forum for more information.

@Devin: Is there a fix coming up that prevents Rhino from crashing and rather displays a warning?

Now my doubts have just raised,

i have tested a scene (new one, not done from my old computer) and guess what? it worked. ANYBODY knows what could be the problem? Textures, file size, or whatever...because if was because the memory problem I think it wouldn´t work as well...

        Thanks!

any thing could affect the file size, bad objects, hidden objects, large textures....
