  • Wont render imported materials (downloaded of v-ray site)

    Hi folks.

Could you please help me...Sorry if this is something obvious :-[

Basically I am trying to render with some materials you can download free from v-ray website.
The materials seem to load into the editor fine but I cant seem to render anything with them.

This is the situation when I tried to render when I tried to render a simple cuboid:

    Thanks

[also sorry that I posted this in the wrong forum, I wont be offended if it gets moved ]

no, I mean to refresh the path/location of the texture.

She's means re-link the textures, Everywhere in the material editor you see a [M] you need to find the correct path to the location of the texture maps on your hardrrive, because if you have downloaded the material it's texture paths will still be that of the person who shared the material.

          Kind regards

Cool I feel like you basically know what the problem is ;D
But Im a bit of a n00b so I still need some help.

So I go into the editor and I see we've got large M's (also small m's) on the diffuse and reflection sections. When I click on the one in diffuse I can see a the path is linked there( from where I unzipped the files to) in a section with the sub heading: "bitmapbuffer"

But when I click the M on the reflection attributes I dont have that, but there is a drop down menu where I can select certain "tex" options like texcolour texbitmap texfresnel and those dont seem relevant to me ???
