  • Saving large rendering with applied curve is horrible slow

    Hi,

the problem is quite old, but it could be great to get a solution. If I render a large image like 12.000x8.000 and use a frame buffer curve, than saving to PNG needs several minutes - much to long in a pro workflow. Without frame buffer curve it's faster saved. So, it's the bottle neck isn't the speed of the hard disk. Is this problem known from 3dsmax? Could it be fixed?

    Best-
    Micha

The same issue appears in 3DSMax as well.
I am not sure if this is a bug or not - but I'll add in into our system and I'll inform you if it is considered as a bug.

If it is not a bug it could be nice to get an improvement too. Maybe the PNG compression rate is to high or multicore usage is a way.

I have added it into our bug-tracking system, so we won't forget about it.
