large ground texture method by Micha still broken ?

Hello chaos team, it seems that this feature

is still broken, any plans to get this nice feature working again, or am I missing something with the settings in the new dialogue?

Can you post the resulting render? I use this technique with full spherical panoramas all the time (so the only difference is repeat = 1 instead of 9) with good results.
