    Hi Kostenurka
The proxy doesn't support materials. The proxy is a great tool to save memory of ram and also you can use proxies, between 3DS Max, Maya, Softimage, Rhino, Sketchup, Blender, etc. Due, by the time that the proxy were created the material format for all these platforms were different, we could not support materials. However, in Rhino we automatically create a custom multi-material with the correct material ID of the proxy. So you can easily replace the proxy materials with the correct one. This is the case when you import proxy into Rhino. However, if you are making the proxy directly from Rhino, you should use automatic proxy conversion and you will keep the materials. Then you can select that proxy and save it as a Rhino file, in case that you want to use that proxy later. Then we you are going to use that proxy, you can import the Rhino file that content the proxy. By doing this, you will import all the material with the proxy.
